We’re busy settling into our usual holiday routine… sniffing out local car boot sales, or rastros as they are called here in Spain. This one was in Fuengirola at the Feria ground, and takes place every Saturday. Its huge, with a mix of car boot stalls and antique stalls – that seem to think the word vintage means over pricing everything. There seems to be a very fine line between second hand and vintage, and car boot stuff and complete and utter rubbish! But I did manage to buy a few bits of lovely bling for my new collection of bags.
After I had dragged Bruce around we then sat in the sun and had a huge cappuccino and a pitufo (toasted baguette) before heading back to the van to await the arrival of his brother Neil and his wife Lesley – AKA Mr & Mrs Batty, travelling down from their last stop in Granada.
