The celery hunt continues!

When we met up with Neil and Lesley in Spain we shared some tapas style evenings and celery was served as a dipping implement.
Celery is normally something I recall from my childhood as being tough and stringy…. but this was sweet and very tasty. So we found a new love!
However….for some strange reason, the Portuguese don’t seem to know about it. We managed to get some once, and to our shame can’t recall which of the many supermarkets we found it in…….so now we’re on a quest, which I have to admit has been going on for the past few days now to buy some more and make a note of where we bought it.
You’d think that as the Portuguese love their soups that you can buy it anywhere as it’s a feature of most basic stocks and stews.
So we will see…. more about it when we return!
Right! Mission accomplished!! Thanks to Intermarche.
